On Wednesday evening, Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy announced through Twitter that the American Idol alum and famous singer-songwriter Adam Lambert will be joining the hit musical comedy TV Series, Glee, for its upcoming fifth season. Set to premiere on September 19 still on Fox TV Network, Glee’s season 5 is already much awaited because of the most recent issues coming out about the rest of the cast not returning for another season of the show. In line with the news that some major casts of Glee except Rachel (Lea Michelle) won’t be part of another season of Glee anymore, fans of the show were then wondering if who will take over or if the show will still move on airing more seasons. Looks like their questions were answered with this news. After rising to fame as the runner up on American Idol’s Season 9 (won by Kris Allen), Adam Lambert has already released two albums since signing a record deal shortly after his Idol stint. His most recent album entitled “Trespassing”, led by his single “Better Than I Know Myself” has peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and in Canada as well. In short, he is already a well-renowned artist, what more can he ask for? He has already gained thousands of fans from all over the country and being part of Glee will probably make him even more famous. While the 31-year-old has little television acting to his name, he has a background in stage acting and had a small role in the 2006 musical film The Ten Commandments: The Musical. Watch out for him and other new cast members in the upcoming fifth season of Glee.
