American Idol is known for being one of the prestigious reality television singing competitions in the United States that allows ordinary individuals reach their dreams of becoming a singing superstar just like their singing idols. However, it seems like not all contestants are reaching their goal from the show since some of them also considers joining the competition as a big nightmare and a huge mistake. A singer who joined and competed during the second season of American Idol TV Series filed a libel lawsuit against the MTV Networks on Thursday, claiming that he was unfairly ridiculed by one of the news reporters of the show. The lawsuit is more than $40 million. The lawsuit claims that after Corey Clark, the former contestant of the reality television, was disqualified from the competition, having reached its Top 10 Finalists, the MTV News correspondent Jim Cantiello has wrongly attacked Clark as a liar and called for a boycott of his music. Clark was definitely hurt and dismayed on what the MTV News correspondent has said but he believes that all he can do now is to file a lawsuit against him and the TV Network. It was already 9 years ago when Clark was disqualified on March 31, 2003. After the American Idol officials learned that he had faced three misdemeanor charges, including the battery charge involving his sister, he was taken out of the competition. The lawsuit also said that he was acquitted of about two or three charges and was even pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice. Clark
