Arrow Season 2 is about to premiere this Wednesday, October 9, on The CW and while the premiere trailer video is already out, the fans are still wondering how the debut episode of the second season will turn out. So here’s the deal! When "Arrow" returns for its second season on Oct. 9, the superhero drama might as well be called "Broken Arrow." What can you say about that? "Not a 'Broken Arrow' as in the Travolta/Christian Slater movie — which I enjoyed — but yeah ... Oliver's not going to be in a good place," star Stephen Amell teased days before the premiere episode airs. With the destruction of the Glades and the death of best friend Tommy Merlyn, Oliver Queen aka the Vigilante is still grieving. When the season opens, he's hiding back at where it all started — the island where he was stranded on for five years. In this upcoming new season of Arrow, you will see how the destruction of the Glades still haunts the city and how Oliver faces not just one, but two big bads and even more enemies compared to last season. "We made no secret of the fact that we subscribe to the Whedonesque model of having a big bad, and in Season 2, we'll actually have two big bads," showrunner Marc Guggenheim said. "They'll both be very recognizable names to fans of the comic book. We're really excited about both of them." You will also meet the mad scientist Dr. Anthony Ivo during the second season and witness how Black Canary flies back into town. Aside from the new big bads, the most important new addition to Starling City will be Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin. Comic fans know him as The Flash, though Barry won't have become that character just yet. Just watch out for the entire episode which is bound to air on October 9.
