On the other hand, the comedy film Easy A by Emma Stone which also opened last week nabbed a close to $7 million while M. Night Shyamalan's horror film "Devil" earned less than $5 million on Friday night. Meanwhile last weekend's weekend box office top notcher, Milla Jovovich's Resident Evil: Afterlife grossed around $3 million on Friday to possibly fall off the chart on the 4th rank. while the 5th spot went to the fourth new wide release of the weekend, the animated film Alpha and Omega which gross over $2 million on Friday.
