Earlier this year, it was predicted that during Sunday’s Emmys, Breaking Bad is going to be the show to beat at the 2014 Awards. However, it turns out that while the rest of the Hollywood people set their eyes on the result for last Sunday’s Emmys, AMC also created a big decision last Tuesday when the TV network decided to split the final season of Mad Men, making it into two seven-episode sections to be aired in 2014 and 2015. Breaking Bad finds this decision good news because they can see that they won’t be having split attention because of Mad Men. The final episodes of Breaking Bad are now airing and that would put AMC’s two most award-winning TV Series in direct competition in the Emmys’ 2014 Outstanding Drama Series race. Before, these two huge TV shows have already competed on the same category, however, this time their final seasons will be going head-to-head. The last season of “Breaking Bad” is probably its best shot at finally winning an Outstanding Drama Series Emmy, because by recognizing the last season, voters could in effect honor its entire run. But Emmy voters might also want to tie a bow on “Mad Men,” which has already won four Outstanding Drama Series Emmys. So it was definitely a good idea that the two TV shows split in airing for their final season. It was good that AMC figured that out. AMC hosts most of the huge and hit TV shows on television and included here, aside from Mad Men and Breaking Bad, is The Walking Dead.
