About Headline Season 5, Episode 0 :
Seriously? That was the end of Dexter’s final season? Dexter could have deserved something better, and I must say his fans really deserved more from the show because honestly, witnessing how that serial drama series on Showtime ended was kind of lame. If only the producers had dispatched their show with the care their murderous hero showered on his victims, then they could have at least pulled it off and make better reviews. Going back to the past eight seasons, you can actually tell that all of Dexter’s fans are looking forward for a good and more fantastic series final, but this? Even before, Dexter was a groundbreaking, often shocking series that called for the viewer to honor, or at least accept, a sociopath who channeled his urges as a serial killer for the social good, so they could have done better with the series finale. "My own, small corner of the world will be a neater, happier place," he told one victim — a repeat pedophile who had slipped through the cracks of the justice system — before beginning his ritual execution on the series' first episode in 2006. "People fake a lot of human interactions," he said in the series premiere, "but I feel like I fake them all. And I fake them very well." Where did all the brilliants go when they did this stuff? But when Dexter moped in the finale that his life had been "a trail of blood and body parts" and branded as "a foolish dream" the notion of a happy life, the series, like Dexter, surrendered without cause. "For so long, all I wanted was to be like other people, to feel what they felt," Dexter whines at the end. "But now that I do, I just want it to stop." It was so disappointing, really!
