About Headline Season 12, Episode 0 :
The Boston Marathon Bombing incident really put a great impact to the citizens of the United States because they were thinking that it was another terrorist attack. Right after the two bombing scenes, the authorities already looked for possible suspects on the scene and faces came out on television and newspapers of the possible suspects. But what was really disturbing was when one news broadcast accidentally flashed the photo of the New Girl lead star, Zooey Deschanel, as the suspect of the Boston Marathon Bombing. In the middle of the intense lockdown and manhunt for Boston Marathon bombing suspects last Friday night, a local Fox affiliate in Dallas, Texas misidentified one of the suspects as none other than the New Girl comedy TV Series star. The closed-captioning error came as the station was attempting to name Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the second suspect in the attack who was being hunted by the police officers last Friday. "He is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel," the caption faux pas read. Fortunately, a television viewer, who probably knows Zoeey Deschanel very well, spotted the error and posted it to Twitter with the caption, “Oh come on, Fox,â€. Soon enough, the tweet was then passed along and immediately retweeted by others until it somehow trended and caught the attention of the New Girl star herself. Deschanel herself tweeted: “Whoa! Epic closed captioning FAIL.†Tsarnaev was apprehended by police Friday evening and remains in stable condition but is unable to communicate at a Boston hospital. Meanwhile, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, his older brother who is thought to have been the mastermind of the attack, was killed in a shootout with police early Friday morning.
