On Thursday’s season finale of Graceland, the TV series which talks about the story of revenge came into a bloody conclusion with Briggs (role played by Daniel Sunjata) going AWOL while trying to search for Jangles (Vincent Laresca). With this, Jeff Eastin, the creator of the USA drama series, left some loose threads that he planned to pull on during its recently announced season 2 which is about to debut on Summer of 2014. The episode title of Season 1’s finale episode was “Pawn” and in here, Briggs tried to look for Jangles, the drug lord that got him hooked on heroine and killed the members of his first safe house, including the woman he truly loved. That incident led him to see Charlie and the mysterious Mexican agent she had partnered with. In an interview, Eastin talked on how some of the story turns this season and what he is planning for the second season of the series. When he was asked if there will be repercussions over the fact that Briggs wasn’t able to do it himself, he said, “Yeah, there will be a few, obviously more psychological, but they’ll play out a little in the fact that Briggs will not feel fulfilled in his quest for revenge. Might be a little bit of that, which plays out in terms of how Briggs ends up looking at life.” “I’d say as far as the recording goes, as a launching-off point, you’re right and you’re wrong,” he said when he was asked on how the season finale could affect the next and second season of the show. “You’re right in the sense that that’s what launches the season, but we the audience won’t know about it until like halfway through the season. I know I’m being a little cryptic.”
