Iron Man 3’s third installment of the hit action adventure movie brought to you by Disney hits a $195M earnings during its global opening, bigger than “The Avengersâ€. Even if Michael Bay’s bad-boy bodybuilder tail entitled “Pain & Gain†captured the domestic box office hit this weekend, Iron Man 3 sill captured the spotlight with a staggering $195 million international debut that sets the stage for a monster U.S. opening next weekend. Greate than “The Avengersâ€, Iron Man 3 delivered a much bigger first overseas this weekend. This other Disney-Marvel superhero saga movie features Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark charatcer. The action adventure movie debuted to $185 million overseas last summer, when Iron Man 2 came out on the big screen. But this year’s new film franchise was way bigger compared to last year. Among the 27 foreign markets in which Iron Man 3 rolled out, it was No. 1. And among the rest of the international foreign markets, it topped in UK with $21 milliom, followed by Korea with $19million, Australia with $18 million and Mexico with $16million. "You have to give Kevin a lot of credit for this," Disney's head of distribution Dave Hollis said in an interview last Sunday. "'The Avengers' transcended superhero fare and laid the groundwork for something like this to happen, and clearly audiences were ready."
