Among the 27 foreign markets in which Iron Man 3 rolled out, it was No. 1. And among the rest of the international foreign markets, it topped in UK with $21 milliom, followed by Korea with $19million, Australia with $18 million and Mexico with $16million. "You have to give Kevin a lot of credit for this," Disney's head of distribution Dave Hollis said in an interview last Sunday. "'The Avengers' transcended superhero fare and laid the groundwork for something like this to happen, and clearly audiences were ready."
