Taylor Swift, the 23-year old country pop singer, bagged and brought home eight amazing trophies during the Billboard Music Awards 2013 which was held last Sunday. She was named as the show’s biggest winner of the night when she grabbed eight trophies all in all. I wonder how she will be able to take all these trophies home. Included in Taylor Swift’s notable achievements is to be named as the Billboard Artist of the Year. Aside from that, the famous country pop darling was also named as the Female Artist of the Year, Top Digital Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist and she also earned the Billboard 200 Album of the Year for her most recent CD album entitled “Red”. Aside from Swift, other artists also made their way through the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. One was Rihanna who swept most of the R&B categories, earning a statue for Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Album for ‘Unapologetic’ and Top R&B Song for “Diamonds”. Also, Nicki Minaj scored a slew of awards when she took the stage to accept the “Top Streaming Artist” award along with Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album for “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded”. Justin Bieber also earned an award when he was crowned as the Top Male Artist and Top Social Artist of 2012. Madonna, on the other hand, earned the award as being the Top Touring Artist, Top Dance Artist and Top Dance Album for MDNA. Other major awards went to Maroon 5 who snagged the Billboard’s Hot 100 Artist of the Year trophy and One Direction who also scored as the Top New Artist.
