Television ratings are shouting off this year, but the TV Series that are probably soaring on top because of high ratings for this week are The Voice and Castle who was once on top of the list before but has returned for quite a revenge. However, they say that the reason for the sudden kick off in ratings of these TV shows is because of the fact that they have aired a season premiere this week. Say for instance, The Voice of NBC TV Network kicked off its fifth season with a 4.9 demo rating, up from both its year-ago premiere (4.2) and its March opener (4.8). Leading out of that, The Blacklist debuted to a 3.8, down 7 percent from Revolution‘s series launch (4.1) but still dominating the 10 o’clock hour. In the meantime, CBS’ How I Met Your Mother’s double-episode opener averaged a 3.6, matching last fall’s launch (and up from its penultimate finale, 3.4). 2 Broke Girls‘ 2.8 marks a 25 percent drop from a year ago, and a dip of two tenths from its finale. Mom debuted to a 2.5, well shy of Mike & Molly‘s year-ago premiere (3.1) but up a tenth from where M&M left things (2.4). Hostages capped CBS’ night with a soft 1.8, merely matching Hawaii Five-0′s most recent premiere and down two tenths from the cop show’s May finale. It was not, however, a good follow-up for Dancing with the Stars of ABC as it scored a 2.3 rating this week, dropping 26 percent from its premiere which aired last week. Castle returned to a 2.2, up a tenth from both last season’s premiere and finale, but placing a distant second behind James Spader & Co. Let’s see what happens to the ratings of these series next week on the poll.
