About Headline Season 3, Episode 0 :
The Bachelorette episodes seem to be getting worst each week as it obviously brings down the ratings of the reality TV Series dating game to its worst ratings ever. Why is it that The Bachelorette is doing so poorly in ratings lately? Do the fans find it boring already or is it because of the fact that they just see no romance between chosen couples at the end of each season? We’ll find some answers on this. When we asked one person watching the show, he said, People get tired of these shows 'cause in the end almost none of them get married anyway. As an audience, you are investing your time thinking you are seeing a couple meet. But the end result is it does not happen." This man totally has the point on this one. Matter of factly speaking, it seems to defeat the purpose of the show because they are supposed to make two people end up with each other forever after the season, but none of them seems to get married in the end. It is pretty obvious that the main reason for the deterioration in the ABC dating show’s ratings is audience dissatisfaction. It suffered a 27 percent ratings drop compared with last year’s previous season and a hit series low with last Monday’s previous episode. However, despite the sudden decrease in ratings, do you think this is already the end of the rose ceremonies? I don’t think so! "They well know by now that these shows are not real and the stories are highly concocted and managed," communications professor Jeffrey M. McCall of DePauw University tells me. "In the past, audiences could convince themselves that there might be 'real' elements in the programs, but that mirage has now largely faded." In this season, The Bachelorette is competing with The Voice juggernaut over on NBC and ABC in general is actually suffering from a decline in viewers this season not just because of the dating show.
