Frank Darabont, the creator of one of the biggest and hit series on television, the famous zombie-themed thriller “The Walking Dead”, burst out and escalated his long-felt feud with the AMC network on Tuesday, filing a lawsuit stating that he had been cheated out of tens of millions of dollars because of self-dealing by the network. It was hard for Frank to file charges to the network which he considered family for years now, but he believes that the cable network owes him millions and he deserves the pay more than anyone else. Actually, Darabont only worked for the Walking Dead’s first season was eventually fired just before the sophomore season started. Elsewhere, this was a change that AMC executives have never publicly explained. Since then, the tension between the producer and the TV network simmered then, still, it did not affect the show as it has gone on to become the most successful in the history of cable television. The Walking Dead is a zombie-themed horror thriller TV Series which features events that happened on the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. It has gone successful over the years until now on its most recent season and Darabont is probably jealous of the success that the show and the network has gained. Darabont filed the suit in New York State Supreme Court and stated here, he accused AMC of setting up a financial deal that keeps profit participants in the show from sharing in what should be enormous gains generated by the series. That is consistent with numerous previous lawsuits in which profit participants have accused studios of claiming that long-running, hugely successful shows have made no profit or made less than participants believed they had made. Mr. Darabont’s suit claims that AMC has said that the series remained in deficit through its first two seasons, even after its enormous success. That success is undeniable. The show has averaged almost 13 million viewers this year, with the biggest ratings in all of television among the group most sought by advertisers, viewers between the ages of 18 and 49.
